Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Names and case numbers submitted through a search tool pass directly to the outside company operating it. That company applies its own privacy terms to the query. Our systems do not log or keep those search entries.
Messages and Contact Submissions
Email correspondence may be kept as needed to answer and preserve the related exchange. It stays within the organization unless the law compels disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
A page request can automatically provide the servers with technical information about the visit:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small device files used here to understand visit patterns, including popular pages and exit points. Analytics vendors combine that usage information into aggregate measures. Browser controls can block cookies, although doing so may change how some features work.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Court-Record Data on File
No database of personal case information or court dockets is hosted, assembled, maintained, or sold here. The content gives general directions to records kept by Morris County trial courts, the District Clerk, the County Clerk, and official Texas systems. This is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visit data is not compiled into reports concerning other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies provide the search boxes. Information entered there is governed by the partner’s privacy policy instead of this policy. Each partner controls its retention and disclosure practices. Review those terms before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to clerk pages, trial-court portals, Texas case systems, legal-aid organizations, or commercial search services. Leaving for one of those destinations subjects the visit to that operator’s privacy policy. Check it before providing personal details.
Some advertising providers may observe activity across websites for targeted advertising. Their own systems perform that tracking.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be received by:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Standard safeguards are used for collected data, but no internet-connected system is completely secure. Reasonable protective steps cannot guarantee that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Notice that a minor supplied data will prompt its deletion.
Your Data Rights
Rights concerning personal data may arise under Texas privacy and consumer-protection law. The Texas Public Information Act applies to many government records, but Texas Government Code § 552.0035 separates judiciary records from that act. Judicial administrative records can instead fall under Texas Rule of Judicial Administration 12. Neither rule makes this private website a court-record custodian. Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
This privacy policy may be revised. An updated version and effective date will be posted here when a change takes effect.
